Season Dates:
The speed skating ice season runs from September through March/April.
The dryland season runs from April to September/October.
Want to try Speedskating No experience necessary. Join the Saratoga Winter Club - you are always invited to stop by and try it out. First, pick a 6:00pm or 6:30pm session on Tuesday or Thursday. Next, contact the Club at ([email protected]). Bring the right equipment or ask to borrow some. And, finally, complete and sign the Guest Skater Waiver form and bring it with you.

Frequency of Practice and Games:
6:00pm or 6:30pm session on Tuesday or Thursday, and some late nights at 9:30pm
Some skaters choose recreational skating and do not race. They practice, get coaching, work on their technique, work out to get in shape, stay fit, or cross train for other sports. Other skaters like the thrill of racing and compete at a level in line with their ability. Please visit www.saratogawinterclub.com for the most up-to-date information.
Amount of travel:
Depends on your level and if you decide to compete in races.
Registration costs:
SWC Membership Dues: $50 /yr (Individual or Family)
Full Season Ice Fees: Individual $960 Family $1680
Punch Card (25 sessions): $600 May be upgraded to Full Season for $400.
Rental Skates: A limited supply is available for rental. $75 for the season.
VISITOR FEES: $25 per night
ICE FEES, SWC, USS and NNYSA DUES must be paid, and WAIVER must be signed BEFORE you can skate.
