Cheerleaders: 5 to 15 years of age

Frequency of Practice and Games:
All Cheer practices will start on Monday, Aug 4. For the first 2 weeks, they will practice Mon-Thurs from 6-8:30. There is a mandatory 20 hour conditioning period that must be met. After this, practice will be held Mon – Thurs from 6-8. Once school starts, tackle football will meet Mon, Tues, Thurs from 6-8. All cheer will then practice Tues, Thurs, Friday.
Amount of travel:
Most games are held within an hour of Saratoga Springs with half of all games home at the East Side Rec field.
Pop Warner Cheerleaders participate in practices, football games, and *cheerleading competition! Each individual squad works hard throughout the season to learn and perfect a cheer routine. All teams showcase their best (2:30) two minute and thirty second routine complete with music and cheering. For Flag and Mighty Mite teams this is an opportunity to show their best performance and they do not compete to move forward. For all other squads, the top 3 will advance to the regional competition in each small, medium and large size of each category (Jr Peewee, Peewee, Jr. Midget and Midget) and each of the levels PW1-4.
Registration costs:
Tackle - Ages 7-15: $120 per child
Flag - Ages 5-7: $65 per child
