Pee Wee Shots Basketball (4-5 years)
This program is an introduction for boys and girls who are interested in basketball. Using basketball drills, they will learn the fundamentals of basketball: dribbling, passing, shooting, and build muscle memory while increasing their hand/eye coordination.
Mini Shots Basketball (5-6 years) (*Must have taken Pee Wee Basketball)
The fundamentals of basketball such as dribbling, passing, and shooting are taught and carried out in mini scrimmages.
Small Shots Basketball (7-9 years)
This program is designed for boys and girls, ages 7-9, to develop fundamental basketball skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, offense, and defense. Players will learn in a supportive, safe, and non-competitive environment where focus is on learning the game, meeting new friends, and having fun.
Junior Shots Basketball (9-12 years)
This program is designed for boys and girls, ages 9-12, to develop fundamental basketball skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, offense, and defense with a focus on increasing game play ability. Players will learn in a supportive, safe, and non-competitive environment while learning the game, meeting new friends, and having fun.

Frequency of Practice and Games:
The Youth Sports Program is dedicated to improving sports skills while emphasizing fun, sportsmanship, teamwork and the development of self-esteem. Our Youth Sports programs and leagues require volunteer coaches to make this experience fun for the kids. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer coach, or for more information on our Youth Sports program, please contact the Sports & Recreation Director at 587-3000, ext. 165. We suggest that children wear sneakers and bring a water bottle.
